Jeff Henderson, a former crack cocaine dealer who learned to cook in prison, is now the owner of a Los Angeles-based catering firm, Posh Urban Cuisine. In βThe Chef Jeff Project,β Henderson takes the lessons learned from his time behind bars and will try to take the group who includes former meth addicts, drug dealers and a gangbanger into new worlds.
If they complete their course successfully, they will earn a $40,000 Food Network scholarship toward two years in culinary school.
